The Australian published an article this week about how figures showing the health of the building industry, have been bolstered by mining projects. As most South Australian builders know, there is no mining guardian angel to help out the industry here. Battling declining demand, the state governments removal of payroll incentives for apprentices and ongoing demand to fill in more and more paperwork, the building industry really needs some help. At the same time fresh calls have been made to see Australia asbestos free by 2030. What a great opportunity to help out the industry by removing cancer causing asbestos from South Australian buildings!
