The Pre-Apprenticeship Program is an introduction for people interested in a career in the building industry. This course is a fully funded way of introducing people to the building industry. The first 4 weeks of the course will focus on Bricklaying, with the other trades following. The aim is to provide students with basic skills across:

  • Bricklaying
  • Solid Plastering

Students should be seeking an apprenticeship in one of these trades as an outcome.

There is NO COST to students or job networks for this course.

Timings

The course runs full time for 12 weeks (Metro) or 10 weeks (Regional)
Monday-Thursday from 8am till 3.30pm
Friday from 8am till 2.30pm

Course Qualifications

Students will complete a Certificate I in General Construction as well as some of the units for the Certificate II.
