Please note that the construction industry gives heavier weighting to their qualifications, then some other industries. A Certificate III course is an advanced qualification that takes apprentices 4 years to complete with extensive on the job experience required.

Pre-Apprenticeship Courses
- Certificate I in Construction
- Certificate II in Construction Pathways
- Certificate II in Construction
Pre-apprenticeship Certificate II in Construction & Construction Pathways courses are between 10 – 12 weeks full time duration. The Certificate I in Construction is a course that can be completed on a part time basis, such as 1 day a week across 6 months.
Apprenticeship Courses:
- Certificate III in Bricklaying
- Certificate III in Solid Plastering
- Certificate III in Wall & Ceiling Lining
- Certificate III in Wall & Floor Tiling
Certificate III courses in the trades are only delivered where students are employed as an apprentice. FCTA do not offer these qualifications without a contract or training (Apprenticeship).
