Apprentice Projects
FCTA offers flexible timing to apprentices, that means if a job gets rained out, apprentices can be sent into trade school to complete projects that go towards their Certificate III. This week we have a number of students in completing tasks in tiling and solid plastering.

First year FCTA apprentice takes 4th place at World Skills SA
World Skills is a fantastic competition for tradespeople. Competitions are run at a state, national and international level. This year, first year bricklaying apprentice Ben Zolonowski competed in the state competition. His competitors were mostly third and fourth year apprentices, despite this Ben achieved 4th place. The extremely popular Certificate II in Construction Pathways kicked off today, after our induction the students have already started on the practical side of the course, learning how to mix mortar and handle Bricklaying materials.
